Flowers made from sea shells, vintage buttons, brooches, and sea glass
What inspired you to start your business?
I've been an artist for many years but never got involved with selling any of my work. I contracted an auto-immune disease called Scleroderma which caused my hands to be severely contracted and it really limited what I could do. I began to seek crafts that I could still manage with my challenged hands and found that working with a glue gun and tweezers worked for me. So I began to utilize my vast collection of sea shells and sea glass and created a wall of shell flowers. My collection of Sea Flowers got a bit out of control and many friends and family were suggesting that I sell some!
What makes your house a home?
My many Sea Flowers hanging on the walls in my sunroom, as well as all my antiques which I have collected over the years.
What's one thing you love to do that you get to do almost every day?
Designing sea flowers in my studio is my favorite thing to do!
What simple pleasures do you like to enjoy?
I love to swim in warm water, collect shells and go antiquing looking for treasures to utilize in my art.
Name one thing on your "bucket list."
I'd like to travel somewhere special to collect unique shells.
